Exempts disabled veterans from New York State Thruway tolls.
This bill amends the public authorities law and the vehicle and traffic law to exempt disabled veterans from tolls collected by the New York State Thruway Authority. The exemption applies to any New York state resident who is a veteran and is certified by the United States Veterans' Administration or the Department of Defense as entitled to receive disability payments for a disability incurred in time of war. The bill authorizes the Thruway Authority to promulgate rules and regulations necessary for the implementation of this exemption.
