The bill amends the not-for-profit corporation law and the religious corporations law to correct tax errors made by the nonprofit revitalization act. It modifies the not-for-profit corporation law to allow a surviving or consolidated foreign corporation to be served with process in the state for any liability or obligation of a constituent corporation in a merger or consolidation. It also amends the religious corporations law to require a religious corporation to obtain leave of the court or the attorney general before selling, mortgaging, or leasing real property for more than five years.
