New York Senate Bill S03302 establishes a home heating oil rebate program for residential customers. The program offers a rebate of one dollar per gallon for grade number two heating oil purchased between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, with a limit of up to 500 gallons. The Public Authorities Law will be amended to include this new section, authorizing the collection of necessary residential customer purchase data from all registered home heating oil dealers in the state. The authority will also be responsible for distributing rebate checks to eligible customers.
