Requires the modification of restrictive covenants prior to the sale of real property when they discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex.

This bill amends the real property law to require sellers to modify any restrictive covenants that discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, familial status, marital status, disability, national origin, source of income, or ancestry. Sellers must submit a restrictive covenant modification document to the county recorder, provide a copy to the purchaser or title insurance applicant, and record the modification document. The seller is exempt from paying filing fees for recording the modification document.
