This bill amends the penal law to allow the possession of rifles, shotguns, and firearms on college and university campuses. The change exempts these educational institutions from the existing law prohibiting the possession of such weapons on school grounds. The bill does not affect the forestry lands of the State University of New York college of environmental science and forestry.
