The bill enacts an advanced clean fleets law to reduce vehicle emissions for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. It mandates that by 2037, no fleet operator can maintain or drive a drayage truck in the state unless it is a zero emission or near zero emission vehicle. By 2042, no fleet operator can maintain or drive a medium- or heavy-duty vehicle in the state unless it is a zero emission or near zero emission vehicle. The bill also sets goals for transitioning to zero-emissions vehicles for new off-road vehicles and equipment by 2035.
