This bill amends the social services law to require Medicare and Medicaid managed care providers to cover certain out-of-network health care for patients who have established a long-term relationship with a specific medical professional. The health care professional must have provided medical assistance to the patient at least ten times over a period of ninety days or longer. The coverage may be subject to annual deductibles and co-insurance. The health care professional shall be paid the managed care provider's in-network rates.
