Funds the consolidated local street and highway improvement program from a percentage of online sales taxes.
This bill amends the tax law to allocate four percent of funds attributable to online retail sales to the local infrastructure account of the general fund. These funds will support the consolidated local street and highway improvement program. The allocation will be made before distributing funds to other areas but after funds are distributed under certain other provisions. The bill will take effect on January 1 of the year following its enactment and will expire three years later.
