The bill imposes a 24-month moratorium on purchasing additional nursing homes for those who own or have owned facilities cited for noncompliance in health inspections. The Department of Health must review inspection records for all owned facilities. If any facility is cited, the owner cannot purchase another home until the cited facility has been in compliance for 24 months. The bill also requires disclosure of owned facilities and ownership stakes to the Department of Health.
