Establishes a retirement benefit review panel to hear cases from state retirement system members.
The bill amends the retirement and social security law by adding a new section establishing a retirement benefit review panel. The panel, consisting of at least fifteen members, will review cases from members of any state retirement system who have not obtained relief through existing processes. The panel can hear testimony and admit evidence, and its determinations are final. The comptroller is authorized to create rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this section.
