Prohibits regulations on zero-emission vehicle sales until charging infrastructure and vehicle availability improve.
This bill amends the environmental conservation law to prevent the establishment or enforcement of regulations on the percentage of zero-emission vehicles in manufacturers' sales fleets of medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicles. The prohibition remains in place until the availability of sufficient charging infrastructure and the cost and availability of zero-emission medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicles make the sale of such vehicles more practicable.
