New York S01579 amends the civil service law to grant a retroactive parity payment to certain management and confidential retirees who retired between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2015. Eligible retirees who had salary increases withheld for state fiscal years 2009 and/or 2010 will receive a $70 rebate payment for each month of withholding, up to a maximum of $5,000. The comptroller will certify a list of eligible retirees to the division of the budget. This act takes effect immediately.
