New York S01534 allows large volume dealers to collect bottle redemption deposits from distributors upon pickup in the same manner as such bottle.
New York S01534 amends the environmental conservation law to allow large volume dealers to collect bottle redemption deposits from distributors upon pickup in the same manner as such bottle redemptions are purchased. Distributors must reimburse large volume dealers for each empty beverage container they accept. If a dealer's yearly purchases from a distributor are equal to or greater than one thousand cases, the distributor must reimburse the dealer in cash or credit for filled beverage containers. Distributors can also seek injunctive relief against violations.
