Establishes the bullet-proof vests for officers fund in New York.
The bill establishes a special fund called the "bullet-proof vests for officers fund" in the custody of the state comptroller and the commissioner of taxation and finance. The fund will consist of all monies payable from the fund on the audit and warrant of the comptroller on vouchers approved and certified by the commissioner of criminal justice services. The tax law is amended to allow individuals to contribute to the fund in any whole dollar amount, which will not reduce the amount of state tax owed.
