New York S01241, also known as "Ildefonso Romero's law," amends the penal law to establish the felony offense of aggravated assault. This offense occurs when a person causes serious physical injury or death to another person with intent to cause physical injury, recklessly causes such harm, or causes such harm with criminal negligence using a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument.
