New York Senate Bill S00858 extends the duration of certain brownfield redevelopment and remediation tax credits for sites within the Renaissance Commerce Park in Lackawanna, Erie County. The bill allows eligible sites to claim tax credits for a ten-year period following the year property is first placed in service, provided this occurs before the 2036 tax year. To be eligible, a site must have a brownfield cleanup agreement with the Department of Environmental Conservation entered into before June 23, 2008, and a certificate of completion received by December 31, 2017.
