Extends the authorization for Ontario county to impose additional sales and compensating use taxes until 2027.
This bill amends the tax law to extend the authorization for Ontario county to impose additional rates of sales and compensating use taxes. The additional tax rates are set at one-eighth of one percent for the period from June 1, 2025, to November 30, 2027, and three-eighths of one percent for the period from September 1, 2025, to November 30, 2027. These rates are in addition to the existing three percent rate. The act takes effect immediately.
