Establishes a commission to evaluate the need for community colleges to participate in the Educational Opportunity Program.

The bill creates a temporary commission to examine and evaluate the need for the twelve SUNY community colleges to participate in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). The commission will make recommendations for legislative action and submit a report to the governor, the temporary president of the senate, and the speaker of the assembly within one year. The commission consists of thirteen members appointed by various state officials and will have the power to conduct studies and hold hearings. The commission will expire two years after the act becomes law.
