Provides a religious exemption for the requirement to have a photograph taken for a driver's license or learner's permit.
New York S00301 amends the vehicle and traffic law to allow individuals with genuine and sincere religious beliefs against having their photograph taken to be exempt from this requirement for a driver's license or learner's permit. However, these licenses without a photograph cannot be used for proof of age for entry to an establishment or purchase of age-restricted products. This act takes effect immediately.
