New York S00237 amends the general construction law to allow for online publication of public notices. In cases where notice of any fact is required by law to be published or advertised, this requirement can now be satisfied by publishing the notice in an online news publication. This online publication must provide general interest news on a daily basis to a defined geographic location and must have been continuously published for at least one year prior to the date of publication of the notice.
