The program includes a community service component of at least twenty hours of verifiable volunteer activities and an academic component that can be completed through a written report or journal. The state university trustees will develop the program, which will be open to students enrolled in associate or baccalaureate degree-producing programs. The act will take effect ninety days after it becomes law.
