Enacts the "commuter rail employee rights protection act".
The "commuter rail employee rights protection act" waives any defense of jurisdictional or substantive sovereign immunity for the Metro-North Commuter Railroad company and the Long Island Rail Road company in any state or federal claim or cause of action. It also subjects these companies to all federal railroad laws. This waiver applies retroactively to any lawsuit currently pending in any state or federal court in New York.
