Assembly Resolution 325 mourns the death of Walter Simpkins, a transformative leader and community servant who dedicated his life to improving the lives of others, particularly fathers and families in the Capital Region. Simpkins, who passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 75, was the Executive Director of Community Fathers Inc., a nonprofit organization he founded in 2009. He was also a certified Fatherhood and Healthy Relationship practitioner, a New York State Domestic Violence Counselor, and a Bridges Out of Poverty facilitator.
