Bishop Rice has held over eight board positions, chaired four, and received over 75 awards and honors. He led the First Central Baptist Church for 20 years, growing it from 35 to over 2,000 members, and founded the First Central Housing Development Corporation. He is also the CEO of the Rochdale Early Advantage Charter School, which has expanded from 35 to 486 students.
