Commending Orien J. Race posthumously for receiving the Liberty Medal from the New York State Senate.

This bill commends Orien J. Race posthumously for his designation as recipient of a Liberty Medal, the highest honor bestowed by the New York State Senate. Orien J. Race served with the Army Air Corps in Europe during World War II, participating in missions in the Ardennes, Normandy, and the Rhineland. The Liberty Medal, established by resolution, is awarded to individuals who have merited special commendation for exceptional acts on behalf of New Yorkers. The Columbia County Honor a Veteran committee will honor Orien J. Race at their ceremony on April 28, 2025.
