The Legislative Body honors Thelma L. Greaves-Hawkins for her designation for special recognition at the Young, Gifted, & Black Entrepreneurial Awards 20th Anniversary Gala on February 26, 2025. Greaves-Hawkins, a native of Brooklyn, New York, has been a licensed Funeral Director since 1979, established her own funeral business in 1984, and served as President of the Directing Advisory Board for approximately 10 years. Active in her community, she has been a member of several organizations, including the Rotary Club and the New York State Funeral Directors Association.
