This bill amends the correction law to require the department of corrections and community supervision to provide body-worn cameras to certain visitors of correctional facilities. These visitors include the governor, lieutenant-governor, commissioner of general services, secretary of state, comptroller, attorney-general, members of the commission of correction, members of the legislature and their staff, judges, district attorneys, and clergy. The department must provide these visitors with the footage from the cameras within 24 hours of the end of their visit.
