New York A10381 amends the retirement and social security law to include prior service with certain agencies in creditable service for the New York City Police Pension Fund. Eligible members can receive credit for service as a correction officer, traffic enforcement agent, school safety agent, or police cadet that immediately precedes their police membership. This service will be included in the minimum service required for eligibility and payment of retirement benefits. Members must pay or transfer all member contributions set forth in section 513 of the retirement and social security law.
