New York A10097 amends the election law to require any individual, entity, or political committee making an independent expenditure for a covered communication to include a disclaimer. This disclaimer must state that the expenditure was not made in cooperation with any candidate or candidate's committee. If the independent spender has received aggregate contributions exceeding one thousand dollars from any person or entity during the twelve months preceding the communication, the disclaimer must also list the top contributors.
