Extends tuition-free course benefits to active volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers.

This bill amends the education law to allow active volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers to audit courses at state-operated institutions without tuition, examination, grading, or credit. The board of trustees of the state university can set regulations for granting course credit for successful completion of audited courses by these volunteers. Institutions may award credit for such courses to volunteers currently or later enrolled as full-time or part-time students.
