This bill grants retroactive tier II membership in the New York state and local police and fire retirement system to Javier-Luis I. Martinez, a current member employed by the town of Colonie. Martinez will be deemed to have joined the system on June 30, 2008, and will be eligible for all rights and benefits of tier II status. The town of Colonie will bear all past service costs, and there will be no refund of member contributions to Martinez. The act takes effect immediately.
