The bill creates a reasonable accommodation reimbursement grant program, allowing eligible employers to request grants for expenses related to reasonable accommodations for applicants or employees with disabilities. Eligible employers must be domiciled in New York and have no more than 500 employees and $5 million or less in annual revenue. The commissioner of labor will develop application forms and procedures, and grants will be awarded on a first-received, first-processed basis until funding is exhausted.
