The New York September Eleventh, Two Thousand One Terrorist Attacks Education Equity Act establishes a committee to survey instruction on the history and civic impact of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York schools. The committee will identify how districts provide such instruction, including curriculum, grade levels, instructional time, and teacher training. The committee will submit recommendations to the commissioner of education within two years and disband thereafter. The act will expire three years after its effective date.
