This bill amends the village law and public officers law to exempt the clerk-treasurer or deputy clerk in the village of Baxter Estates from the residency requirement. The village board of trustees may allow a person to hold this office even if they do not reside in the village, provided they live in Nassau County or an adjoining county. This change takes effect immediately.
