Extends the authority of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation to manage bluefish until 2028.

The bill amends the environmental conservation law to extend the authority of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation to manage bluefish until December 31, 2028. This includes setting regulations for bluefish management, such as size limits, catch and possession limits, open and closed seasons, and other related requirements. These regulations must be consistent with fishery management plans from the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission and the Federal Fishery Conservation and Management Act. The changes take effect immediately.
