This bill amends the surrogate's court procedure act to allow certain methods for service of process, including by electronic means. It specifies that service can be made by personal delivery, registered or certified mail, special mail service, substituted service, personal delivery to a designated person, publication, or electronic means. The court can direct service by any one or more of these methods. The bill also specifies the number of days before the return day that the citation shall be served, depending on the method of service. The act shall take effect immediately.
