Provides a heart disease presumption for probation officers in cities with a population of one million or more.

This bill amends the retirement and social security law to establish a rebuttable presumption that heart disease in probation officers, supervising probation officers, or probation officer trainees in cities with a population of one million or more was incurred in the performance of duty. It provides a performance of duty disability retirement benefit equal to 75% of the Final Average Salary (FAS) for those disabled by heart disease. The death benefit is a lifetime payment of 50% of the member's wages earned during their last year of service.
