This bill authorizes James Unger, a police officer for the town of West Seneca, to receive service credit under section 384-d of the retirement and social security law for his employment with the Erie County Sheriff's Department between January 21, 2003, and September 6, 2006. This service credit will be granted despite the fact that deputy sheriff service is not typically creditable in the New York State and Local Police and Fire Retirement System (NYSLPFRS).
