Sets the effectiveness and duration of automatic orders in matrimonial actions.
This bill amends the domestic relations law to establish the effectiveness and duration of automatic orders in matrimonial actions. The automatic orders take effect immediately upon the filing of the summons or summons and complaint for the plaintiff, and upon service of the automatic orders for the defendant. These orders remain in full force and effect until the judgment of divorce is entered or the action is dismissed, discontinued, or stayed, unless terminated, modified, or amended by the court or by written agreement between the parties.
