This bill extends the authority of the New York Department of Environmental Conservation to manage blackfish (Tautoga onitis) until December 31, 2028. The department can set regulations for size limits, catch and possession limits, open and closed seasons, closed areas, restrictions on the manner of taking and landing, permit requirements, recordkeeping, fishing effort and gear, and transportation, possession, and sale of blackfish.
