This bill authorizes the Brookhaven assessor to accept a real property tax exemption application from Calvary Full Gospel Assembly of God Church for their property at 777 Sipp Avenue in East Patchogue. If the application is accepted and the church is deemed eligible, the assessor, with town board approval, can grant the exemption and adjust the tax rolls accordingly. If taxes were paid, the governing body or tax departments may refund those taxes at their discretion. The act takes effect immediately upon signing.
