This bill amends the New York city charter to allow the city council to remove the mayor from office. The council can do this by an affirmative vote of three-quarters of all council members, after serving the mayor with charges and giving them a chance to defend themselves. The council can also suspend the mayor for up to thirty days with the same three-quarter majority vote, pending the preparation and disposition of charges.
