Allows former employees of the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision who participated in a strike to return to work without discipline.
New York Assembly Bill A08066 provides a grace period until July 1, 2025, for former employees of the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision who participated in a strike to return to full duty without facing disciplinary action. This applies to employees who engaged in a strike or work stoppage between February 18, 2025, and the effective date of this act. Employees who resigned or were terminated between these dates can also return to work without discipline and be reinstated to their previous status. The provisions do not apply to vacation or personal leave.
