The bill amends the environmental conservation law to extend the authority of the Department of Environmental Conservation to manage oysters until December 31, 2027. This includes setting regulations for size limits, catch and possession limits, open and closed seasons, closed areas, restrictions on the manner of taking and landing, permit requirements, recordkeeping, identification requirements, and transportation, possession, and sale of oysters. These regulations must be no less restrictive than those set forth in the chapter.
