Authorizes the town justice of Montour, Schuyler County, to be a nonresident of the town.
This bill amends the town law and the public officers law to allow the town justice of Montour, in Schuyler County, to not be an elector of the town. It also modifies the public officers law to allow a nonresident to hold the office of town justice in Montour, provided they reside in Schuyler County. This change does not apply to town justices in other towns, who must still be residents of their respective towns unless otherwise provided by law. The amendments take effect immediately.
