New York A07747 amends the social services law to mandate fingerprinting for prospective child day care employees. The Department of Education will forward the criminal history record and fingerprints of cleared individuals to the Office of Children and Family Services for background checks. The Division of Criminal Justice Services will also provide subsequent criminal history notifications directly to the Office of Children and Family Services. This act takes effect immediately.
