New York A07622 amends the penal law to require consecutive sentences for aggravated criminal contempt. Specifically, if a person is convicted of aggravated criminal contempt and has a pending felony charge, and if an indeterminate or determinate sentence of imprisonment is imposed, these sentences shall run consecutively. Aggravated criminal contempt is defined as a class D felony. This act takes effect immediately.
