Transfers unspent funds from the regents health care professional opportunity scholarship program to the regents physician loan forgiveness program.

This bill transfers any unspent funds from the regents health care professional opportunity scholarship program to the regents physician loan forgiveness program. It directs that these funds be distributed to meet the same purposes as originally intended, prioritizing physicians who are economically disadvantaged and/or members of an underrepresented minority group. Awardees must provide service payback in areas with a shortage of physicians, including primary care services.
