New York A07394 amends the labor law to redefine "public works" and subject certain construction projects to prevailing wage requirements. "Public works" now includes all fixed works constructed or demolished by any public body or paid for wholly or in part out of public funds. A "covered project" is defined as construction work done under contract which is paid for in whole or in part out of public funds. The bill takes effect immediately.
