New York bill A07259 amends the vehicle and traffic law by adding a new section 510-e. This section grants the Metropolitan Transportation Authority the authority to suspend the registration of a vehicle if the owner has an unpaid balance of toll charges and/or fines exceeding $100. The suspension remains in effect until the charges are paid in full or a payment plan is established with the authority. This act will take effect 30 days after becoming law.
